Is strength Genetic - like are some people born strong?

A pal said he remembers seeing a local tv news story a decade ago, where a pub landlords wife was so strong, she could carry all the holiday luggage herself, with little strain or sweat.

in fact she won bets beating men in arm-wrestling contests at their pub!

now this all reminds me of a skinny guy a school, who tho he was the thinest+weakest looking boy there, he could beat half the boys his age in arm-wrestling!

an no, both the above people didnt do weight-training or have above size arms.

which makes me wonder if theres a gene that makes average size muscles stronger than average...?

Its partialy true, Strength is down to genetics - the mix of fast and slow muscle people have etc, but also down to nutrients and training.

i love that film, tho i still say his best was 'die hard' - but not the shitty 3rd film.

as for genetic strength, i recall that ant documentry last week, where drones were said to do the human equivalent of a 20 mile marathon while carrying a 30kg sack of potatoes!
