I need a bog standard means of recording voice snippets (to prepare footy match reports).
Any recommendation on cheapo versions, is it still worth considering dictaphones? VIXPY1
Thanks chaps

Most radio stations use mini disk now as they are small and you can fit a good quality mike to them.

Got a Panasonic digital one. Great stuff, wouldn't bother with a tape device now.

My Ipaq also records sound....quite useful on the move.

i use an mp3 player, excellent, we dictate notes on site then email them to the office via wifi

currently use iriver but there are lots of excellent cheaper ones with good battery time and various features including VOR, better then micro tapes, can get up to 16 hours dictation time

If you mean the Panasonic recorder, they had loads of 'em in Argos the last time I looked. Also spotted them in Dixons, Makro, etc.

£30 should do the job.

The Ipaq is a 2210, but they probably all record sound.

Edited to say...oops the Panasonic is really an Olympus. This is the one I use....
