...is it just me or does there seem to be more dead foxes on the roads these days?

just popped home for lunch and saw at least three fresh roadkills

boom in the population of urban foxes?

anyone else notices this slightly macabre urban phenomenon?

Don't care as as long as the things are dead.

Foxes are NOT cute, they are vicious pests that will kill an entire coop of chickens for sport, not food.

If so then it must be a SW London phenomenon as north of London there has been a disappointing lack of large dead animals of any kind!!!!

Hang on a mo, the Foxes are not dead. Ok, we may be languishing near the bottom of the Championship, but dead we aint - at least not quite.

Have I got the right thread here?

This usually occur at this time of the year *mating season*, so all foxes with hard-on wouldn't think about crossing the road without looking.

They're all over the place in SE London too. It's next to impossible not to go out at night and see at least one, often more than one. As there are so many and competition is so fierce often see them foraging in the daytime too.

I have a family living at the back of my garden in SW London. The gardens not exactly huge so we see them daily. In the summer they sunbathe about 10' from the kitchen doors.

They are generally OK until they crap on the patio & then they get stuff chucked at them.

Build a stronger coop then.

They are pretty mean though, we sometimes have a vixen come into our garden, standing almost nose to nose against the dog. Normaly results in me running down the garden to rescue the dog...

You can't keep chickens in a coop 24 hours a day, it pretty much negates the 'free range' aspect....

It's been "imminent" for the last 20 years. I think I'll take my chances, better that & make do with the evil injections than getting mange off the buggers

They have no concept of sport, just a hunting drive. If you had 1 chicken it would kill it and the drive would switch off and become eating mode. Because you have loads of chickens to be killed the drive doesn't switch off until they're all dead. Can't really blame the fox if you leave a flock of chicken unattended or protected properly. It's just hunting.

This is nothing to do with a boom in the population, it is all to do with excessive speeding by selfish child murdering drivers.
We need more scameras especially where foxes play and go to school.

I'd call social services.. or is normal in London to have strangers living in your garden and crapping on your patio?

Mate, if you'd actually read any of the Bible you'd know that God gave Man dominion over all the animals of the earth.

Please stop using this tired 'non-christian' whinge.
