Just picked up Pendulum - "Hold Your Colour"

It's an utter tub thumping, arsekicking triumph of an album. Buy it. Even if you've never bought any drum and bass in your life, buy it anyway.

It's an utter classic. Slam is perfect, The Terminal is dark as hell, and the title track is 5 minutes of genius.

Was it that particular popular beat combo who remixed Voodoo People last summer?

With a name like yours, you probably enjoy any music more than most people

Agreed. It's a stunning album, worth it just for Slam in my opinion.

I still cannot believe how fresh that album *still* sounds.

Indeed it was old boy. The Aussies get drum and bass right.

That's the one. Bit harsh for me although I like that 'Restart' track. Very pleasant. Yes.

It's the "customers who bought....also bought...." that sucks me in every time. Such a simple idea but probably makes them £££££s.

An album rarely removed from the changer. DnB's golden era if you ask me.

On another tack, Coldcuts new un "Sound Mirrors" is awfully tuneful.

If I'd got here earlier I would've told you to get an album by Aphrodite instead, much better than Pendulum IMHO. I'm not convinced Pendulum isn't just Moby using a different drum beat (has the same structure to the songs and album as Moby).

I do like a couple of songs on the Pendulum album, just not as many as on Aphrodite's albums

Very good, but a little cheesy. In small doses it is absolutely slamming.

The new Hospital Records compilation that came out today, on the other hand, is an absolute ing blinder all of the time. As is London Elektricity's Power Ballads album.

Did you ever get Saturnz Return, the follow up album?

There are some decent tracks on there too.

Indeed, can be a bit heavy in parts mind. I've just downloaded a Goldie mix from an XFM radio recording of earlier this year. Its a 1 hour promo for a DnB classics mix album thats just come out, its storming. Let me know if you want the link.
