I know it's been mentioned before but I can't seem to find the thread

Who else buys their contacts online, and where from? I'm sick of making monthly or tri-monthly visits to the optician to pick them up.. and I think they are a bit more expensive compared to the net.
I am using monthly soft lenses now, and when I do buy online I would probably go onto the daily ones, anyone know which ones don't dry out as easily?

Cheers!
Dave.

After I've typed all this out, someone will probably come along and post the URL of an old thread

Try www.postoptics.co.uk/ . iirc you need to send them a current prescription and copy of your last cl checkup.

I don't know how the costs compare but Boots post mine to me every three months so no hassle.

They don't seem that cheap to me. I wear Acuvue Oasys extended wear, 1 set a week. I get mine from 20/20 and pay 29 a month, so 78 for three months supply which gets posted out to my house.

Of the ones above, discountcontactlenses.com want 75 including shipping, contactlenses.co.uk want 88.

My 78 a quarter includes a check-up every six months, so seems pretty good value compared to the on-line vendors. Could be wrong, but I have a feeling they're not meant to supply lenses unless you're getting regular check-ups.

Maybe it's worth shopping around your local opticians for a better deal?

Postoptics is possibly the best from those... thanks for the info
Not sure really.. might have to do some research with larger companies like Boots, Specsavers etc.. as the one I use now is just a small one down t'street.

Thanks again, if anyone else has anywhere good I'll add it to the list

Specsavers are good.

They post mine each month but can do it every 3 months and the price is between £13 and £17 per month depending on the type of lenses you need.

They call it Lensmail, comes in a nice box that will go through any letter box and contains all your solutions and the container plus the lenses of course!

Yep, Specsavers lensmail is good (i use it at the mo), they dd 20odd/month from your account and post out 3 months worth of lenses each quarter. You also get 50% discount on glasses as well.
