Any one got any recipes for some good smoothies?

My housemate brought a blender the other day so for the last two nights i've had a home made smoothie made of the following:

1 banana
1 clemintine
1 pear
2/3 strawberrys
6 rasberrys
Some pumpkin seeds (about a teaspoons worth)
and a splash of Asda's Cranberry and Blueberry juice.

(That makes about a pint)

Its really nice but can any one recommend any others that are worth making?

Thanks,

Phill

I think with things like smoothies its a case of experimenting to see what you like. you can also get big smoothie recipie books with zillions of different combinations in them etc.

we sell bottled ones at work, flavours are..
orange and mango
cranberry and raspberry
pineapple and something tropical

so you can get ideas from what they sell in the shop, another one to try is a banana, pineapple and coconut- (use coconut milk)

also, one drink I am hooked on is frobishers bumbleberry, its blackberry, strawberry, raspberry etc. Its delicious and you can base a smoothie on this too.

Cheers Di,

O/T - Have you seen the thread in the Thames Valley Section about the 3rd annual Crooked Billet meet?

Try using frozen fruit this time of year. I either use frozen raspberrys I picked last year (got a bit carried away at the PYO!) or the frozen fruits of the forest mix types of fruit. Much easier than having to go and buy fresh fruit!

If all that fruit is too healthy for you just add ice-cream!!

1 x banana
1 x handful of strawberries or rasberries
then top it up to about 500ml with orange juice and blend it!

also try blueberries, pineapple and orange juice in the same kinda volumes.

Coconut milk is definitely to be avoided if you're on a diet though! Shame, I love pineapple and coconut milk smoothies....
