This is what makes me laugh about people who get very excited about these shadowy groups like the illumaniti that supposedly control the world. I mean if there IS a group of all-powerful men that run the world's affairs, there's precisely

I have to say Yugguy, that I followed your 'What's so wrong with going to Church thread' with great interest, I admired your determination to stand by your beliefs against much mockery and ridicule, for me the seminal point was when someone questioned your ulterior motive, something about you 'effectively hedging your bets within the framework of your religon, implying that you were covering your duty bound ass to get into the kingdom of heaven for selfish reasons, and not neccasairly for the love of your fellow man' that's not exactly what was said, but certainly implied. At the time I thought in your case it was the latter, but having read your glib response on this particular thread, it seems that it could well have been the former. Your response as I remember it was something like 'it is grace’ that provides you with an access-all-areas pass within the pearly gates, so with grace in mind, do yourself a favour and watch the video link posted; before you decide to be any one of the three wise monkeys. Should you decide to watch it, you may find something that may strike a chord with your believes when this guy (Alex Jones) say's "Resistance to Tyrants is obedience to God".

By all means be light hearted, but choose one of the 'comic threads'. I don't want to sound pious, self-important, or an endless list of high & mighty’ ness, but this is 'The serious issue', with respect to you, it is just as important, if not more so than yours or my theoretical beliefs (which we both share incidentally). It is and will eventually become 'the only issue', nee the only issue for ALL of us. Namely 'Freedom'; from rampant armies, corporations, corrupt politicians and officials, men in black, banker families, tyranny and darkness. Only when we reach critical mass and eventually realise we have lost our divine privilege of true freedom will we have any chance of restoration where a world will understand the true meaning of grace and how important it is to retain it. As it stands at the moment, things are shaping up such that there will be no room for such ideals to the detriment of power, corruption and profit thereof.

I'm through about an hour or so of it, and he's not as nuts as the headline writers would have it. Apart from one or two 'blips' and 'joining the dots', and bearing in mind it is a huge subject he is taking on, he makes a pretty good composite arugment of the shaping of this 'New World Order' and it's not all rosey...

Im a free thinker, but when i see out of context quotes from that bloke who runs homeland security in the first 60 seconds, i get the feeling its a bit misleading, like a michael moore (sp?) documentary. Plus ive got better things to do with my time.

Funny you should say that about Michael Moore, because I was going to say in my previous post that he's definitely not a 'Michael Moore', even if you perceive the quote as out of context, could it not be the case that this guy has consciously homed in on what he believes is 'the agenda' of Mr Homeland Security, (essentialy not much more than Mr Bush's Door Minder) on the strength of what you dismissed, I played back those first 60 seconds, the piece where he says "you will lose your liberty", granted it sounds alarmist and biased on first viewing, but if you had taken the time to watch further on down (about 60 mins into it), he plays a much longer section of that speech, and I assure you he does not place it out of context at all, he goes further and allows Mr Homeland speak for himself in a full and concise way, the remark in question relates directly to the 'definition of a terrorist' according to himself and his boss, nothing wrong with that in itself, but when your eyes are open to just what they are bringing to bear to counter said terrorists, frankly its chilling. Watch it through first, then dismiss it if you will.

Actually the more I think about the more I realise it's a pretty fair question.
If there IS an all-powerful cabal running the world what exactly could we do about it? Presumably if they are all-powerful anyone poking their nose in too far would be 'disappeared.'
