Ignore the content of the article, but does this trend of leaking the content of speeches ahead of the speech being made annoy anyone else?. Breakfast TV seems to do it a lot. Or is it an adaption of the good public speakers rule of tell them what you are going to say, say it, then finish by telling them what you have told them?

Expected news!

Yes its a pet hate of mine at the moment. What ever happened to reporting the news when it happened?

"it is expected that in tommorows report that the expected outcome will be BLAh Blah Blah however it is not expected that Blah blah blah"

How about waiting to the roprt comes out then telling us exactly!

I dunno why they bother leaking the content. I could tell them what it was going to be.

I hate this too. Worse case scenario - "The BBC has learned that the Government will announce, blah blah lies deception weasel words..."

Mr Blair said "After I gave back the rebate, Chirac and the others agreed that they would no longer object to my new role in the European Commission ( after my slight feck up over not delivering the UK into the Euro and invading Iraq )so as I'm about to resign and step aside for Gordon I'd better say some really positive things about Europe so that people don't think I'm jusy doing a runner when I dissapear and pop up in an unelected Euro-gravy job"
