Go to the airport and go anywhere hot that there is a flight to. Then start building my dream house/garage that has an in-built track in the grounds.

I reckon Sting's current accountant would be a good bet. After his previous one ran off with a large chunk of his fortune, I get the feeling this one will be quite well vetted...

Try to avoid letting on to anyone that I'd won until I actually had the money in my bank account, then start doing rather eccentric things, such as:

- Quit job then go home and say I've resigned - I can't be arsed anymore with no explanation (I clearly can't afford not to work)
- Pay off debts in one go (own family members some money) but add an extra zero onto the cheque.
- Buy the T350 in the classifieds with the 4L sagaris engine.
- Visit the Ferrari garage I drive past ever now and again in Egham and buy myself a car or two then just turn up at home with look what I've bought expression along with the keys to a new house.

Unfortunately I think by this point the plan would have fallen apart for all of my close friends and family and I'd have to let on.

You can be the grumpy old one and I'll just be a grumpy one

125mill plan.

1. pay off all debt's of my girlfriend & myself.
2. make millionaires out of my immediate family.
3. give 50K each to some good friends.
4. Hire a relocation team to find some suitable housing (5/6 bedroom, mature grounds, space to build a BIG garage/workshop)
5. Go car shopping, (Cerbera 4.2, Aston DB9, BMW 535D Touring, Ariel Atom, and some classic to restore as hobby)
6. buy some houses to rent out, GF would run the 'property empire'
7. invest some cash into the company I work for and work part time.
8. Throw some party's

I'd spent the entire season following the F1 circus around the world. VIP seats at every GP and 2 or 3 weeks between visiting the sites of each country on the tour - 1st Class all the way

why on earth would you want to do that? net interest alone on a 5% deposit account would earn you £10k in interest a day. why get bogged down in something so mundane for a few extra quid? bit more imagination required...

Just for fun I'd like to buy all the remaining quattros in the UK which, as there are only 1000 or so, wouldn't exactly break the bank if there was £125m in it. Then I could have them all fully restored and drip-feed them back into the marketplace over a few years.

That's the rub, I know certain friends of mine would be really, really pissed off if, after winning £125M, I gave them 'only' £50k. I would like to be generous as well, but I can see it getting complicated. With that sort of cash, I'd probably just tell them all to feck off and buy some new friends...

Ideally I wouldn't tell anyone, I'd invent some story as to why I'm suddenly somewhat better off (made a few lucrative business deals that are paying off a tidy sum etc.), but spend the money slowly so as not to arouse suspicion. Not that I don't want to give money away, but unlike people who amass that sort of fortune through hard work and sacrifice, that sort of sudden increase in wealth brings out all sorts of undesirable attention and behaviour, even in people you thought you knew. Only problem is, even without ticking the 'publicity' box, the media would find you regardless...

Reading that back, God I can be a misreable git at times...

because she wants to do it? and it would'nt really eat into the money to affect the interest. A few houses to fix up and for her to express herself with would keep her occupied whilst I'm at the track with the toys
