Barclays goes chav
Discussion
"The chain on the pen sums up the relationship banks have had with their customers for too long - basically we don't trust you to leave this pen behind after you use it, yet we expect you to entrust us with your life savings,"
So basically next time you go along to Barclays make sure you take a pen otherwise you're stuffed.

IIRC this is the result of Barclays hiring a company that specialises in "dumbing" down confusing communications. American company if I remember, having alot of success with banks (why do they have to be so bloody difficult?) and their ambition is to get some lawyers on board, although the language of the law will probably defeat them. It's not aimed at chavs or whatever the lowest denomination is, it's so that Joe Soap doen't feel alienated, through education or background, and afraid to do business with them.
Quite clever I think.

Maybe they should rename Banks 'Sweetie shops' so the public could go along and say "hello I'd like some sweeties please" or "Iv'e got some sweeties I'd like to save for later can you look after them for me"

Good analogy there
Should trust necessarily work both ways? I don't care how much a chav trusts me, I won't trust him.
Also do they still lock all the doors and stash all the money in a vault?
