As the light is becoming more prominent, I am able to go out in the car during the day and I prefer to wear my contact lenses. but for some reason my 3 months supply has jumped from £45 to £75 for some reason. IIRC some people from PH buy theirs at a much cheaper price from the internet??

Could someone point me in the direction of this site?

I thake it you just read the specifications off the box and order the same?

Yep I was paying £45 from my optician, then I changed to these new hydragel lenses as I had developed an allergy to my previous sets. They said it would be £6 more. When I got the bill it was £75!!

www.contactsdirect.co.uk/

James the guy who owns it will bend over backwards to help you (oooerr).

I used to pay over a tonne per 3 months for breatheable toric lenses now i pay half that.

Excellent service.

This lot work for me: www.lensesbymail.com

About £40 for 6 pairs of monthly disposables and they last me a year. Brilliant!

Solutions from local chemist (expensive) or supermarket own brand (half the price but perhaps not as good).

NB I thought my lenses as prescribed were too strong; when I started buying my own I reduced the strength by 0.25. I have since reduced my prescription by a total of 0.75 in 3 x 0.25 stages, I can still see distance perfectly and I can do close work without strain. I'm 44 but my eyes are now how they were when I was 18...
