There's a "safety" camera on my way to work, its on an incredibly dangerous stretch of dual carriageway thats in a straight line. If it didnt stop me doing over 40mph on it then im sure I would be dead by now

Hi Jenny

A colleague is about to lose his licence after getting caught three times in a week, after several point free years. I think he had 3 points on already for something else.

He will be buggered if he loses his license. I'm not sure he would be wanting to discuss things just yet, as he hasn't gone to court. But I can ask him for you.

You'll have to look further afield than the internet for a scientific explanation of how a speed camera can save a specific life. Even if you went to Mars I still doubt you would find one case of a speed camera saving a specific life. Speed cameras take pictures, that's all. ABS saves lives, airbags save lives, good observational skills save lives, speed cameras don't. Look into the rate of KSI (Killed and seriously injured) statistics and compare them against when cameras were first introduced and also when hypothetication (When the SCP's were allowed to keep the money for themselves) was introduced. Look at the graphs and you might see something very interesting happen.

Clue, the graphs go the opposite way to how the SCP's would have you think they do!!!
