As a prequel to todays interview with Ming Campbell, a female reporter in a pre-recorded 3 minute feature gave an overview of the development of the leadership contest to date. Her last line before the cut to studio interview was " So Ming had better watch out for the other two contenders breathing down his neck".

Lembit's dad was a very well renowned astronomer. His dad fled Estonia (I think) when the Soviets took over after the war and his dad ended up working at the Armagh Observatory in Northern Ireland.

I like Lembit, not to mention his taste in ladies.

I briefly tuned into Radio 2 today and heard an actor talking about how they discovered their talent. They said, "I was quite a promiscuous twelve year old." Realising their mistake they asked the interviewer for the word they were looking for. "Precocious," they replied.

You committed a bit of a faux-pas there, by tampering with one of Pistonheads' sacred images. Consider yourself lucky Unrepentant hasn't come round and burned your house down...

I had an argument with the chap in the middle on the nature of "principles", and how they would prevent me from voting for him.

Anyone with access to the current copy of Private Eye, might get a better idea of why one candidate withdrew (first article under Streets Of Shame, pp6) - it's not even repeatable here, and to be honest, you may well prefer you never found out (if you're lucky, you might need a dictionary).
