Seems they're having a sale, bloody cheap as well. Just FYI.

Has anyone come up with some that actually light up when you switch them on, rather than a dull glow??

If so point me in their direction and I will go and buy some

My older straight ones are dull when you turn them on for a few minutes, my newer curly ones are pretty instant. I have no problems using them now.

Hint: if you're leaving them on all the time they last longer if you take them apart and short the filaments.
