Yes, I do need a lot of sleep. Ask my bf Anyways...8 to 9 hours are my limit what is yours? Do you get cranky in the morning or is it always so sweet to get up early. I´m defnitely not a morning person myself. But just because of that work, what pays the bills I have to get up early *sigh*

I think about 8 hours with two hours to lie in bed to get up afterwards. Sadly what I get falls far short of this

I have serious trouble getting up in the winter - my winter spent in Finland was a nightmare! I wasn't waking uop until about 9:30 or 10 (a bit after sunrise!). I don't know how all you finns manage - you were all out and about by 8am!

This is a annoying issue with me at the moment... I dont seem to be able to sleep before 12 but get up at 7 and feel knackered all the time. At the weekend I sleep ok; 8-9 hours and feel fine. In the summer I dont seem to have this problem.

Yes, I need sleep - 7 to 8 hours to function properly.

How often all too often I end up with 6 which makes life difficult, or less than 6 which means I will be a zombie all day... 6 last night and I can't remember most of the day; have been on autopilot.

8 hours minimum. Mornings don't exist until 10.00 (despite having to get up at 7 to go to work) and people wonder why I'm cranky

Thanks to the most selfish, annoying neighbours on the planet, I get about 5 hours a night if I'm lucky...

So long as he's not snoring, you're probably right (in our house anyway)

Ideally i'd have about 8-9 hours a night, but can cope with about 6 hours a night.

If I could work consistently and be happy (and avoid any mental illness) on 5-6 hours sleep I'd be a lot wealthier than I am... Unfortunately I'm one of those people who can sleep for ever and I'm utter hell in the mornings.

The medical 'average' I've read (not sure what sort of average stats-wise) is 8 hours required, UK average (again not sure if mean, mode or median) is 7 hours for working people.

Virtually all the real big swinging dicks in the City I've met are consistently effective with less than 6 hours sleep per night. I'm at my best with 9 hours but it goes to shit if I've lost my cool during the day as I'll wake up every other hour.

Everyone's different - to a 5-hour wonder I look like a lazy bastard, but I find that I solve problems in my sleep i.e. wake up miraculously with the answers... and I dream a *hell* of a lot.

The usual corporate culture in the UK (and that's not as bad as the US) tends to make authoritative studies difficult - many academic sleep studies using students as the studied population must be skewed big style

Im sure its not very healthy but I often come straight off a 12 hour nightshift and go straight out and do a house removal with my van business (usually followed by a trip to the pub to reward myself) 36 hours later I stagger into bed, still rare for me to sleep for more than 8-9 hours even then. Its no wonder Im showing severe signs of age!!!

You need to turn him on his side,or put his pants over his head.

I do shift work so my sleeping pattern is all over the place. But normally try to get a minimum of 6 hours if I have to get up early (bed at 12ish up at 6ish).

Then on my days off I'm so happy not to have to get up I lie in till 12ish and feel really bad when I eventually get up then!! Gonna make an effort to get up earlier on my days off as I feel so much better.

I reckon 6-8 hours tops. Any more or less and you'll feel knackered all day.

I tried putting his pants over his head. He was none too pleased as he was wearing them at the time

Going to school, i have a pretty normal routine: go to bed at about 10.30, get up at 7. thats 8 and a half hours, whch is fine for me. i have about the same on weekends, aswell, because i think lie ins are a waste.
