Canon L300 Fax machine
Discussion
Acquired one of these a while back but it's pretty counter intuitive to use. Can't find any online manuals, only option is paying Canon for the privelige which I don't really want to do because it doesn't work very well
Anybody have one in digital format or know where I can find one?
Failing that, how can I make it hang on for longer before hanging up? Irritating US number that only picks up and starts handshaking after waiting for ages, and the fax then drops the call...
Even better than that, can somebody let me know how the feck I put in a "+" for an international code??

Request a manual 01869 331741 (as I have it written down)
I had the manual (and the fax!) but threw it out about a month ago.
Will see if I still have the pdf doc.
edit to add:
I looked and I don't have a copy, sorry
There were a few reasons why it went in the bin.
The robbing bastards charge you £20 for a feckin manual
Being robbed? If anyone can, Canon can
I ended up putting a voice/data modem in a pc. Using Winfax has the following advantages;
It doesn't need cartridges,
or use paper,
or take up two foot square of room,
is silent,
uses less electricity,
and can be read / distributed across a network.
you only print what you want,
it never runs out of paper
or memory
...and it doesn't cost £20 for a manual.
You could always try using Emule ir similar and see if someone has got it.

Thanks for looking Simon
Have used modems/PCs for faxing before - the problem for me is that I have no scanner and I often have to fax music. Much easier just to have dedicated hardware to do the job. Useful photocopier as well (laser printing on mine).
