Its being executive produced ny spielberg and don murphy is producing along with someone else. Simon Furman who wrote the excellent Uk comic books was consulted as have a lot of fans on www.donmurphy.net Sounds like its going to be awesome

bit more on the prop of "Bumblebee"....

According to Micheal Bay that is a full size "reference prop" and in detail levels compared to the finished CGI "bumblebee" it is kinda "undetailed".

From what I read its the same as comparing a matchbox toy to a real car

So can't wait to see this film!!!!!!!!!

(Ps. Obviously in the photo the prop is lying on its belly... but I guess people figured that out)

WOW, a Transformers movie!

I've only known about this for five minutes and I'm already getting giddy. Shame it's a year away! I quite like the idea of using the Beagle mars probe thingy too.

With the production and direction crew the film is guaranteed to look and feel amazing, so let's just hope they don't hash up the storyline and screenplay.

It's very slow - about 15k/sec for me..then it gave up halfway through!

It's hard to tell from that what the target audience will be.

Just spoke to my brother, who told me.....

- Megatron will be an alien spaceship
- Soundwave will be 4ft high transforming into a boom box
- Bumblebee can't talk and only communicates using voices and songs off his radio
- Filming has taken place at the Hoover Dam
- The budget is $200 million
- Several transformers get killed in the script, so they can bring in new ones for the SEQUEL!
- At the start of the movie, Bumblebee is a 1970s Camero, but at some point in the film gets upgraded to the 2006/7 version. He's not a VW because they wouldn't licence it for the film..

Just told my colleagues all this and they're looking at me like some kind of weirdo...
