i've been browsing the vast music section on Youtube over the last few days and have rediscovered Rammstein, a german heavy metal band i used to love!
i had 2 of their albums "sensucht" and "mutter" and i remember they were both very good! (the music is awesome so the language barrier doesen't bother me too much!)
i found a relatively new track by them "amerika" and IMO it absolutely kicks arse! www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQ04eMfEuik
are there any other fans on here? any one whos seen them live? i understand they are an absolutely mental live band! (what with the singer setting himself on fire and everything!)

I went to see them 2 years ago at Nottingham - I have to say I have never seem a better live band, the stage show was totally amazing, by far the best showmanship I have ever seen.

They are bloody amazing. And I do like their music quite a bit, but the live experience is something else!!!

Yeah we saw them in London a few years ago - fantastic live experience, great music, atmosphere and incredible amounts of fire!

Hopefully they will tour here again soon, I think there was an issue with their management preventing them from doing their last tour in the UK.

I discovered Rammstein about a year ago after hearing one of their tracks on a video of plane crashes that had been posted on YouTube. The track, 'Sonne', was so apocalyptic in sound it suited the video perfectly and when I discovered what it was a bought it, and a load more Rammstein stuff, from iTunes pretty much immediately. Totally love the sound. Can only really describe it as 'violent'!

Loooove Rammstein. Amerika is an amazing song, it's from the Reise Reise album. Their latest album is Rosenrot, which is very good, some of the songs have a more laid-back feel as opposed to the whole "crash bang grrrr arg" feel of the rest of their songs, although the whole album starts with the song "Benzine" which I think is either talking about all the stuff made out of the chemical, or is talking about a big explosion, I'm not sure which.

Can't beat a bit of rammstein.... this is my favourite video clip of them... rather amusing if you have a juvenile sense of humour like me www.youtube.com/watch?v=ik327o6FwgI

Seen em 3 times, they're the best and don't take themselves too seriously. Stage shows are 'lively' with mucho pyrotechnics, one of my pals came away with all the hairs singed off his forearms!

Rosenrot is a superb album, Stirb Nicht Vor Mir / Don't Die Before I Do, is a great song and features Sharleen Spiteri of all people (bloody good voice too)
