I saw some 'strange' lights' in the sky (Warwickshire)
Discussion
Just got back from a night out in town (Stratford Upon Avon/Warwickshire) and whilst I was walking through town I noticed alot of people were looking up towards the sky as we were walking through....
When we got to a open area, I looked up and saw some, rather remarkably strange lights in the sky. For a kick off, they defiantly weren't stars and they were far to big. They were of a yellow/golden color and probably about 1cm wide from were I was looking at them, and although I couldn't make out what they were the color was very crisp.
At first there was 4 of them, slowly closing together to make a shape of
* *
* *
* <--- this one slowly moved across
*
They slowly got closer, and when they got reasonably close they stoped and another one slowly came into view from the right that was gaining towards them quite slowly. After this freaked me out big time, my mate, who was also looking at them told me to shut up, and go to the pub.
Any idea what they were, or could be as in my mind they were a UFO.
Which, well they were (unidentified)

The colour is probably a better indication of anything, than just about any of the other information you give.
The number and arrangement might mean something, but less than the color. Physical dimensions and rate of travel really don't mean anything, unless you've made measurements by radar, and there are really very few such sightings.
The colour gives, at least, an indication of the chemical composition of the light source. Was the orange the same as streetlights perchance? That'll be sodium.
You have to be really careful with counts and spacings because more than one doesn't necassarily mean there is more than one object. Unless you know what's in the amosphere... Clouds, balloons, planes, blimps, could be anything.
Just remember that the atmosphere can produce a rainbow, form nowhere. We all know that there's nothing but water drops there, and yet you can see something tangible.
Then again, it might be the lizards coming to steal all our water, eat our children, and use the body of our planet as fuel. You never know!

The UFO I saw in Scotland was giving off bright amber light.
It was sitting just under the stratus cloud. Then went up and lit the cloud from within.
And the RAF Tornadoes were whizzing round it.
Expand on this :-)It was sitting just under the stratus cloud. Then went up and lit the cloud from within.

Good timing :-) was chatting about same subject last night *ufos* and the really interesting case's are one's like Neil Armstrong reporting on being followed by objects when they landed on the moon! at the time they thought it could have been the Russians.....

I'd say the color was lighter than streetlights, and more of a yellow/golden color than an orange.Also, I could see that they were all separate objects as the area in between each object was the same shade/color as the sky everywhere else
