Some years ago I saw 'The last voyage',
a few years ago I watched 'Kingpin',
tonight I am watching Dodgeball.

Any films that surprised you folks?

The Simpsons Movie, big time!!

Pan's Labyrinth as well, that was excellent! thumbup
Amelie, A Very Long Engagement, Wedding Crashers and one other recent film I can't think of!

Chronicles of Narnia, never read the books as they didn't appeal to me so figured I wouldn't like the film either. But my family insisted I join them on their cinema trip so I did, and was pleasantly surprised!

Amazing Grace. Thought it would be really dry, but it was thoroughly enjoyable.

Stranger Than Fiction.

I usually prefer chop-socky, aliens being blown up, or existentialist Bergman/Tarkovsky type stuff, but I really, really enjoyed this -even though it did go a little bit mushy towards the end.

Kingpin is a classic. His comb over in the final game is awesome.

Oh, just remembered- "The Man Who Knew Too Little". Hired it cheap on video way back & laughed myself stupid through most of it.

I thought "The Killer" would be crap, but that was because I turned it on not knowing what it was at about midnight as a teenager. My introduction to the Chow Yun Fat/John Woo combo. yes
