We are just plain stupid. After leaving the services some years ago, I couldnt even get on the council house list as I wasnt destitute.
When I tried only ONCE in my life for some benifit's as I had been made redundant, I got sod all, ziltch nada. Reason, I had my redundancy money in my bank................
Perhaps we should all join Abu Qatada and live the life of Riley.

he was a point of discussion on radio 2 at lunchtime. The liberal callers were playing down his activities and promoting his teachings. apparently he is a succesful speaker and has tapes of his speeches sent round the world.
Fact is, if he is due for trial in another country we should deport him to that country. he isnt English, so he should either go back to his homeland or to the countries that seek him.
The thought that we are funding his family really pisses me off. I actually dont think we should provide any social funding for immigrants for any reason. That isnt me being racist, just feel that we should start looking after those that pay into the system, fight for our country etc and not support financial immigration.

1. I don't understand how anyone who surely broke international law by traveling across borders to the UK on a false passport and entering the country illegally is granted asylum.
2. Our goverment bleat on about the fact that they can't deport people because of the EU Human rights laws. Weren't they they ones who got us into that agreement. We should have it changed or pull out of it. All goverments should have control of their own countries.
3. Our Law courts and judges need to be gripped and told to look a little more closely at the Human rights laws and interpret them so the citizens of Britian are protected by undesirables. Surely British citizens have a human right not to feel endangered or threatened by aliens.
4. The immegration and welfare offices need sacking. ALL of them. No former immegrants should be able to work in there. 9Remember the Nigerian selling passports scams?) Our passports and welfare system are a joke. Turn up with no or false passports, with aids (and having been diagnosed with it in the UK) or say you're persecuted at home and you're in. Passport, benefits, housing the lot. (I too was medically discharged from the Army and had nowhere to live. I had to doss on a mates sofa to start with.)
WHY??? I don't understand it. WHY SHOULD THEY? Isn't it obvious that our system is the softest and easiest to abuse? Why do you think Britain is the 1st choice of every low life going. We are the dustbin of the world! We have enough of our own homegrown lowlife.
I'm all for controlled migration with people who have something to offer society, no matter where they come from but, no papers, no entry. No clean bill of health, no entry, no skills and cash in the bank, no entry. Commit offences and you're status will be looked at.

Well, the law lords have decided that he can be deported to Jordan. That't the good news.
The bad news is that his legal team have confirmed that he will appeal - meaning that he will still probably be here for years.
The minute he started spouting his anti-western vitriol, AFAIAC he lost all rights here and should be sent back to Jordan so they can do whatever they want with him for his bombings out there - even if that means, as he claims he will be tortured. I am sure that he had no care for the tortured relatives of those that he has killed or maimed with his cowardly acts.

This chap and his merry band have been preaching hatred of the UK for years, relying entirely upon our freedom of speech and generosity to let them do so.
If he is so keen on his own version of society, and ours is so evil and flawed, I can't imagine any reason he would want to remain here. Surely he must be delighted to be returning?
I also can't understand why Abu Hamza would give his right arm to stay here.... oh... whoops....

The majority of immigrants do not use the welfare state but arrive and quietly get on with rebuilding or creating their new life. A lot of immigrants also live in appalling conditions with young children, conditions under which no-one on earth should be forced to endure. But, there are a shocking number of people who willingly abuse the system and quite frankly, I do not blame them. I blame the local authorities and the laws of this land. I've a friend who lets property to local authorities and it is criminal what goes on. A couple arrive, get a flat, then they 'divorce, so the man is awarded another flat and the then they sub rent out one of them for a small fortune. They also sell the white goods on Ebay and the landlord has to replace them, but can bill the council. On the landlord's side, he can charge exhorbitant rents to the local authority which go unchecked.
Basically, huge chunks of our council tax is being defrauded by council employees, landlords and seriel scroungers.
As such, a system whereby welfare was only available after 5 years of working tax contributions would seem very fair and also logical.
Random audits on council employees operating in certain departments.
Impartial 3rd party, regulated, quangos to determine fair value for properties in any area. Property by property, not on a general sweeping basis.
Remove all lingual support from local authorities. The costs of maintaining a service which can converse and supply documents in multiple languages are immense. More importantly, it actually enforces segregation of communities by preventing them from needing to integrate. It is one of those socialist dreams which is actually, in reality, an apartheid nightmare.
At the same time, it should also be made more difficult for home grown people to see welfare as a genuine lifestyle opportunity.
