In a moment of unparalleled objectivity, I feel compelled to second the Plotlothian's motion.
The boss wanted something aesthetically suitable on a wall recently so after sizing up the options and against all my natural instincts acquiesced where so many others have been suckered in...
I can honestly say the picture quality is where lcd was several years ago and the sound quality would have embarassed a Pifco alarm clock in 1977.

Actually, unless you're a TV buff, you'll never notice the quality difference between that and some higher up stuff. Especially on a screen size of only 32". (And yes, I'm fully aware I'm about to get flamed, since Plotloss knows his stuff, and has a good following on this site)

Wrt, utter cobblers.I simply cannot believe the shod of picture in the frame, as it were.
The differences can be enormous.
I understand that the quality differences are there, but not everyone is going to be able to see them. Plus, not everyone is willing to pay the extra for the Pioneer, etc.
I'm not talking drivel der, and not trying to step on anyone's toes at all, as I know a lot of you know your stuff. I'm simply giving the viewpoint of the average TV watcher/buyer.

Pulse, I can assure you, my wife hasn't got the first idea about picture, much less sound quality and yet her projectile vomitting over the aforementioned, abberative underperformer would have been hugely welcomed upon the set of 'The Exorcist.'

Pulse mate, I'm not going to disagree with your opinion but honestly both plotty and der earn good livings by spending every breathing minute around these things, I think it would be safe to say that their opinions on such things are learn-ed and valued and if they say the difference is that big I think I'd be inclined to go with the flow, I'd also bet that either one of them could suggest a superior product for similar money or less, so it's not a case of only saying the best is best.

In fact, I had paid more, and a previous Samsung had issues with it, so I sent it back.
