Why oh Why oh Why oh Why oh Why oh Why oh

Do people walking along the pavement talking on mobile phones and taking notice of nothing going on around them always walk in a slightly diagonal line ?

and never look or listen when crossing side streets.

You are overreacting.

Try observing for a while. I walk 2 miles through Lunnun to work every day. They do. So there.

You can't want as much as you like, but it doesn't mean you'll get.

My mum walks in a zig zag anyway; if her phone rings she does the 'pensioner-random-emergency-stop' in the middle of the pavement.

But it's safe to be on the phone when driving as long as you're not holding it wobble

Whenever I go to the supermarket, I always seem to pick the trolley with the visible-only-to-old-people sign that says "Please stop right in front of me." And there are only so many old dears you're allowed to mow down before you're politely asked to leave the store.

Maybe having a phone on the ear has the same effect as sticking sellotape on the side of a cat?

I've never noticed the diagonal walking, but people who don't know how to walk down a busy pavement are some of the most irritating imaginable. I get much more annoyed by someone walking slowly infront of me than by someone driving slowly.

The diagonal walking is due to the electro magnetic pull that is being radiated from the nearest phone mast.

The phenomena of mobile phone users suddenly stopping or changing direction is also explained by electro magnetic pull. It's when the signal from another mast becomes stronger and pulls the user away from their original course.

Not as bad as bogwoppit pillocks that stop at the top/bottom of escalators to check which way to go.

Here in London we have the tourist-emergency-stop as well, it usually occurs at the bottom and top of escalators, or like yesterday evening, in the middle of a very busy staircase in Victoria station where one family had decided this was an ideal meeting place. My tried and tested solution to this is a chirpy 'excuse me' follwed by a firm shove.

If you put sellotape on the side of a cat it walks sideways away from it. If the tape is placed on it's back they crouch and try to crawl under and away from it.

I am sure there are clips on youtube i'll try to find.

I do not encourage confusing cats
