Not impressed. Went into my wardrobe this morning to discover that my virtually brand new suit trousers have been mothed, despite my best efforts to guard against such sartorial skullduggery through the extensive deployment of bits of wood scented with 'moth-be-gone'.

It seems to have done the square root of bugger all to deter the bds and I'm now stuck with a really nice new jacket and a pair of trousers that wouldn't look out of place on the sort of chap one would see in Dickensian times, wearing a top hat with the top flapping open and steaming up the dining room window of a wealthy family sitting down to Christmas lunch. bds.

Can a good tailor do anything to repair pocket edging damaged by moth?

Ok - moth balls have been got (2 words wink ) but I still have a wardrobe malfunction to deal with...Can tailors fix this sort of thing (some small holes and a bit of frayed edging) or are my trousers toast? Also, can anyone recommend a good man for this sort of thing in Glasgow?

Surely the damage can't be seen when you are wearing the jacket.

True - but then I'd miss out on the lovely sub-tropical climate down here wink

You're right apart from the small nibble in my croth area! But it's quite a smart suit so it's irrationally put me off it knowing that it has a frayed edge (I once through out an almost new rain jacket that had a stain on the lining).
