Anyone Got a Better deal from SKY?

[TDIPLC]

My SKY TV contract of £45 per month ended recently so I called them to see if they were doing any deals.

Initially they said but no, but after mentioning that I was concidering switching to Virgin, they immediately dropped the price to £30 for the same package.

I was quite chuffed until the missus said that a neighbour got theirs reduced to £20.

same package to begin with?

We pay £21/mnoth for the 6 mix bundle and no premium stuff.

I've been looking at a PVR MCE box as i dont like paying sky, maybe I should leave unless its dirt cheap...

My dad was with sky for years - about 10-15 i expect.
He ended his membership last year, they phoned up and offerd him 6 months for £15
He took it then after the 6 months ended the subscription.
They keep phoning up offering deals but he goes on his terms!

Lets assume your dad had the full package £45pcm then over the 15 years he has paid sky ...£8,100. Let me guess at most 3 hrs viewing an evening and lets say 5 on Sat & Sun so weekly thats a total of 25hrs being generous so on a per hour basis it was costing him...£0.41. IMHO given the number of freeview channels & amount of free time people have thats lunacy plain and simple.
