What's worth looking at in California?

I'm going out with a mate in November. He's going to train Brazillian Ju-Jitsu before his next MMA fight at the Gracie school there.

I'm gonna go along to a bit of training but I won't be every day bang on it like he will be.

Now, part of me thinks fk hollywood off and go check out inglewood and compton

How likely am I to get gang-raped and shot?

Or is it much better to stick to the traditional tourist bits?
