Seems that lots of walkers seem to be taking "fresh" fawn home so they can call the RSPCA.

Can people really not leave nature alone? Even if the fawn died it would provide food for other animals.

Why can't people stop interfering with everything?

They are probably finding fawns that the mothers have stashed while they go off eating grass, and going "aww how cute" and petting and stroking them. And when you do that the fawn will follow you home and if you do manage to leave it the mother won't have it because it smells of you. I guess nobody knows to leave a stashed fawn alone any more.

Sorry it seems that this year the Animal Sanctuaries have had a massive influx of people finding newborn fawn and taking them to the sanctuaries. Rather than leaving them.

But the main point I'm making is, why must people interfere with nature and the eco systems.

Amazes me why people bother taking injured animals to these centres, things like pigeons, rabbits, foxs etc.

Whats the point?

I like animals as much as the next man, but FFS, who gives a toos about an injured pigeon?

Also, while I am at it. All these divs trying to "rescue" dolphins and the like that get stranded, maybe thats the way it is. Human nature, get over it you tree hugging wierdos. mad

And relax.

There was an article on BBC in Lincolnshire about a fawn being picked up in the Bourne area (south of Sleaford) and taken it to the RSPCA ....

... not realising that the mother gives birth and then retreats to watch it from a distance ....

It's about basic compassion. Some people should think a little harder before becoming involved though, such as the example with fawns but they only have good intentions.

People just need educating a bit more. Not by the letilists but people who know.

Isn't veal male calf, and venison is deer.

Both are yummy.

The fawn probably wasn't abandoned, seeing a fawn alone - leave it alone mother will be close by.

Venison is deer, veal is baby cow.
