Seems to me that clamping a car simply for displaying a valid ticket upside down is taking the piss. Then trebling the charge for not agreeing to pay is equally so.

The victim was not very clever in trying to drive away, particularly when that involved hitting another car, though someone threatening you with a mallet might make me think about that route.

The man with the mallet isn't charged (aparrently) with anything, but the man he was threatening is.

It takes a year to get to court.

Ther is something wrong with a system that lets this happen, and takes so long to sort. Probably not a cheap process, either.

Yes there is something wrong with the UK justice system.... and it has been wrong for many years now.

Today we see criminals with more rights than victims...... I am thinking the UK is the only place on earth that has this system.

The justice system is far too light on criminals and it is biassed towards the 'easy fine and on your way' system.
I mean the UK has a fixation on speed and the courts are well geared up for processing easy payments out of the motorist. But when it comes to criminals where they have caused injury or loss of property to victims then our system is a laughing stock of the world.

I think that the clamper in that case, the one waving the hammer, should be the one in court.
