Good news, today the lovely Witnesses came to my door, and they didn't have Watchtower. The bad news is that they were instead going to enlighten me about Global Warming (before moving onto God!). Funnily enough, their little leaflet didn't seem to have any idea about the research provided by Schulte, and when I asked them about it, they smiled sweetly but had not a clue. Then decided I should have a good day and left, though politely offered to answer any questions I have (though again when I asked about Schulte's research, they offered only smiles!).

So, now we really have proof positive it's a religion!!

Are they trying that tack now. In which case, will have to answer the door the next time they pay me a visit.

And this fact makes them no different to your average greeny yoghurt weaving MMGW brainwashee, apart from a little religious fervour thrown into to upset the common sense ratio even further.

It's to be expected. during the cold war it was world peace they used a hook to reel people in by.

Perhaps Bush should treat the Ruskies to a bit of saber rattling and stir them up a bit. There is noting like the possibility of a third world war on the horizon to take our minds off the war against climate change..smile

The Witnesses were here a few weeks ago, too. I was delighted to discover two of my favourite subjects could be covered in one handy visit.

After an interesting chat, after which we agreed to disagree, the fellow turned to leave but paused and asked if he could just ask one more question. I agreed, expecting him to invite me to church or something.

"Is that a real Audi Quattro?", he said, looking at the corner of my drive. I then spent another quarter of an hour showing him around my quattro. I think it made his day. 'And lo, the Lord did look upon the boxy arches - and harken the five-cylinder warble - and he saw that it was good...'

That whole Russki deal seems to have dropped from the headlines reeaal quick. Obviously not a lot of media mileage in world wars any more?
