Coastguards on strike.

[Baby Huey]

PH lynchmob not yet formed. Very strange. So it's OK for people that you respect to go on strike?

[Bee_Jay]

Well, the starting salary is £12k for the control-room guys, and all their salaries are way behind the other 3 emergency services, so it's fair enough.

A lot of the guys 'on the ground' are volunteers, certainly the guys down in Hope Cove are. They got their boat back yesterday BTW, but have restricted use of it... grrr!!!

They've been on and of strike all summer.

Some areas are on strike, others aren't. Seems to be dividing them quite a bit and they are getting quite stroppy on the VHF.
