Things are much quieter round their head office at the moment. Usually there is a legion of braying bullshysters out the front having their fags but for the last month or so there has been less activity. Of course that could be down to the summer hols but I'm not sure...

People have short memories. Back in 1989 everyone was paying stupid money for estate agents, and then of course it all went pear-shaped and the smart people who started the businesses walked away with millions and the greedy foolish corporates who bought them were left with turkeys.

Not one of them is over 35 by the look of it, so not a clue what a recession feels like. I bet none of them had even heard the phrase negative equity until this year.
