It seems to have been quiet on the disasters front and just wondered if we're due anything?

I keep reading that the earthquake from the San Andreas fault is overdue.

Any thoughts (apart from me appearing morbid)

The collapse of the volcano Cumbre Vieja on La Palma in the Canaries should be good for a laugh.

And when I say "laugh", I mean "the end of Western civilisation as we know it".

Could go any time.

Did you not see the 154 people die in the Madrid air crash last week you muppet?

Or the hundreds of thousands dead in the last two years in the Chinese and Pakistan earthquakes?

There is a huge meteorite whizzing through space in direct collision path with the Earth.

Thankfully Bruce Willis and his buddies have 2 top secret space shuttles and will use them to place a nuclear bomb on the meteorite and blow it up to save mankind.

Predictions of the end of the world are ten-a-penny. It's still here. Why would any other be more worthy of concern?

Madrid not big enough for you? Or didnt it count as they were mainly non English first language types on board?

If you dropped out the plane crash reference in your first post it would make an interesting (although been done before recently) subject.

I think the West is due a really big Earthquake. 70,000 dead in China doesnt grab the 'worlds' attention like a couple of thousand dead in the USA, does it? In the 'big scheme of things', Hurricane Katrina wasnt even on the same scale as some other killer events.

You know this interweb thingy that you are using now?

You can get more than just Pistonheads on it (although I get a lot of my news off here first anyway).

Not getting news is indefensible in this day and age.

Although most of it is depressing left-wing nonsense, so you'll be much happier if you switch it of and do some gardening.
