Dunno. But he virtually disappeared once the donations came in....

I think there was an update post a few months later saying he'd got a loan without his OH finding out but other than that tumbleweed

Perhaps he's off begging somewhere else....

Someone post on there a link to the Aerofoil thread. I can't find it.

That or suggest he gets everyone to give him £1 or take out a loan.

Maybe someone has seen the thread on here and is going to chance the idea elsewhere. It'll become viral and a new website will be set up called Aerofoileater.com

Hi, haven’t been on here for a while, and probably won't again with this login again after this smile

Well what happened...

As some of you guys know, the additional kick in the stomach, was that the following Monday, an additional £400ish quid was assigned against my card, so 2.9K in total, and it was yet another payment I didn't have a receipt for. At this time I was a nervous wreck, which is why I stopped posting on here, plus some people decided it would be a bit of a laugh to try an damage someone’s life, you guys were great.

After trying to get the payments rejected with my card company, to no avail, I managed to get a loan from my card company, that doesn't send statements home. I spoke to the club regarding refunds, and just to have a girl sat with you for an hour, was about £300, I had a few sat around me, and was in there for about 5 hours, which is how the bill got so high. As you guessed it, the manager wasn't too helpful.

It wasn't me in the Telegraph by the way smile

I was well and truly taken for a ride (not literally wink ). Thankfully time has helped, and I am not the gibbering wreck I was when I made the stupid decision to post on here. Some of you guys however were amazing, and I got some very nice emails from people. To the guys that helped me, you are fantastic, and although I got nowhere the amount required, it did help a lot, to buy me some time, until I got the loan sorted.

As luck would have it, the arrangement details for the loan landed on the door mat on the Saturday, so I somehow managed to get away with that part of it. I am now paying £50 a month back for some time to cover this. Hopefully, this may not show on the radar, as its the same payment as my credit card.

Only time will tell if I somehow manage to keep this a secret, but this has been a massive lesson for me to learn, and I am never going to venture into one of those places again, and one I will be paying for, for some time. Another bit of good news was the wife decided on a lesser trip away, which should help a little.

I know some people thought it would be best to be honest, and one day I will, probably when I have managed to clear this debt, but at this time, I think I made the right decision to hide this.

Any way, I have to go, so I hope you all have a great new year, and make sure if you ever go anywhere like this, leave your cards at home!

All the best, Aerofoil.

If you happen to get very drunk one night, and make several large payments on a credit card in a club that a friend got you into (not my idea) for services/drinks that you have no recollection of receiving or have any proof of receiving, do you have any rights? One of these payments was one minute appart, so god knows what I managed to buy and cosume in 1 minute!

Please don't give me the "stupid idiot" type comments as I feel bad enough as it is!
rofl

I managed to spend £500 in one of these establishments once, but I was fully aware of what I was doing at the time (and enjoying myself I might add) biggrin £2.5 - 4k would sting though.

yes I got pissed in a strip club once and later found receipts to the value of almost £80 in my pocket.

Mind you, I remembered every minute - at those prices the girls are something that will take years of therapy to get out of your mind.
