the meal will be expensive but decent quality.

i don't think you'll have a problem with the height thing either.

as an alternative, there's a restaurant in the westin harbour castle hotel (albeit much lower down) but it's on the lakeshore. Might be worth checking that out too.

Well, it's not much of a brag to have gone to Toronto and stood at the bottom of the CN Tower.
However, the elevators go up the outside of the structure and I get all whoozy going up my step-ladder, so the ascent/descent was a bit uncomfortable for me.
The view at the top is a mind-melter though.
The restaurant was a disappointment.
Best revolving tower gastronomic experiences are Westin Hotel in Atlanta and the Shinjuku Tower in Tokyo (Cappucino and Biscotti = 35 quid!!!)

The restaurant will be fine!

Although jumping up and down on the glass floor in the observation deck is probably not recommended.

Freaked my boss out when I did it.

Its pretty good. Try to book for sunset (great views) and don't get carried away by the seafood on one of those tier platter things. Not a single table even got close to finishing them that I could see.

Ditto, I hate heights but was ok with this (but not the glass floor!!)

The food is great, takes about an hour to revolve and yes, a tad pricey, but worth it. If you can stretch you scehdule, would suggest an evening over lunchtime, for me the sight of dusk over a city is magical, seriously would recomend making a reservation, can get popular.

I'm not keen on heights but it was fine, but really was not happy walking on the glass floor (apparently it's all glass but they had to cover most of it with carpet as a lot of people couldn't cope!)

Can't say we enjoyed the food that much but we were pretty jet lagged and I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more un-lagged. The view is great and quite special in the early evening especially when followed by a huge thunderstorm after dark! (I love thunderstorms).
