Just been searching the net for a new Ipod and have noticed that if you search on the Apple store web page you can find a range of 'reconditioned' Apple products which are much cheaper than buying 'new' elsewhere (obviously)!

Just wandering if anyone knows what the deal is with these items and if they're a bargain, or just sh*te that apple are trying to get rid of!

Usually good stuff at a fair discount. Note that new iPods are rumoured to be released sometime in September.

Cool, looking at the 8Gb Ipod touch, think they're summat like 135 quid instead of 200ish. Not too fussed about new models coming out so may have a closer look.

I bought an 8gb Nano, and it was like new. There wasn't one mark on it. It comes with one years warranty which isn't too bad either. All the accessories appear to be new as well. I'd say it's a pretty safe thing to buy.

I bought an iMac a few years back from the refurb store. It was new as far as I can tell, even down to the tie wraps on the cables and cellophane on the screen.

It was also a better spec than the one I ordered, worked out at about 60% of the new price biggrin

I brought a reconditioned Ipod nano a while back, went wrong so spoke to apple and told them what they problem was. They asked me to send it back, sent me a another reconditioned unit and its been perfect ever since!
