Film character costume ideas

I need ideas of a film chracter to go as for a costume party. I've got about 3 weeks, so it is possible to make it if not too hard. The only rule is that it's gotta be a recognisable character, so no-one can go as the 3rd sea captain from a 1965 submarine film.

I thought of Buzz Lightyear, but due to the fact he has short, purple hair, and I have a ponytail and a beard, I wont actually look like him.
