I saw one on a bus today which said 'Do not enter while doors are shut'. I took a photo of it on my mobile and will post it when I get home!

Anyway, what's the dumbest sign you've seen?

A packet of peanuts with the words" Warning...may contain nuts"

Also I cant bear cereal packets with serving suggestions on. Two Shredded wheat in a bowl with sugar and milk on. Novel!

Would it be cruel to offer the guy in the office with a 'nut allergy' a bite of my peanut butter sandwich today, then point this out as he's writhing about on the floor?

He may well be allergic to peanuts, many are, but they remain legumes.

This strikes me as a particularly useless speed limit - and therefore a ridiculous sign

There is a speed camera sign on my street...

20 yards from the end of the street, which is a T-junction with a main road.
Those 20 yards contain a massive speed bump.
There is no speed camera in those 20 yards.
The nearest speed camera is half a mile away, after a left turn, a roundabout, and a stretch of dual carriageway.

I cannot, for the life of me, fathom the purpose of this speed camera sign.

That's because they are worried that people will complain that they didn't get milk, sugar and a bowl in the packet. laugh

Always wanted to tippex 'are' in the middle of that sign since I was about 8 years old!

The one that had me absolutely wetting myself with laughter was the legal 'No smoking' sign in the single occupancy portaloo thing a year or so ago. Who are you going to harm if you spark one up in there?

Edited to remove 18 month old daughter's attempts to correct my formatting.

I bought some fish last night, with a warning on the back that it contains fish.

Amazing, really.
