I've used Purple Parking and have found parking for 1 week for 69 pounds.

Has anyone used a good service for Gatwick or know of anywhere cheaper?

Stay well clear of the ones that opperate just outside the terminals.
I returned to my car late one night from holiday, drove home only to realize the next morning that i had footprints all over my back seats & my air freshener from my interior mirror was in the boot!
Rang them only to be told that because i had driven away from there premises they cant do a single thing about it. Hence i would never trust any of them again.

Have used BCP before, they were very good and quite reasonable.

Also used one of the nearby hotels on one of their stay-a-night and park-a-fortnight deals. Never, ever again.

If you haven't already, go to the BAA website and follow the parking links; you'll find a number of companies listed. I've used a few of them over the years and never had any problems.

Stay at a hotel the night before and leave your car in their car park.

I've used Cophall Farm previously. They were £30 for a weeks parking (booked months in advance mind you), including dropping me off at the airport and collecting me again in one of thier mini buses. They're a smaller, family outfit, so expect the advantages and disadvantages you'd associate with a small business and you'll be fine.

Have used Maple Manor a couple of times and would do so again. Drive to terminal, hand the keys over - when you get back give them a ring and they meet you outside.

I'm struggling to find the name of the company I used but since using a "meet and greet" service at Gatwick, I dont think I'll ever use anything else! Cost me the same as a normal carpark, there was a guy at the airport to take the car away and the same guy was there to drop the car off (we waited all of about 5 mins!).

Mind you, if your prescious about your car, you might not like this idea. I must admit, I was amused by the grin the guy had when he saw I was leaving him fun free in an M3 smile

I agree, meet and greet is the way to go. I use a company two years ago and it was fantastic. They meet me right outside the airport, took the car keys and drive off, I went to cached the plane, it was that simple. Cost me about £50 for a week.

I hate the idea of a stranger driving the girlfriends car (My car, in an outdoor car park, manned by strangers, you must be mad haha) so would be a place I can drop it off.

I have a few ideas to go off from the replies though, thanking you muchly biggrin

I do know that whatever company you use, if you book online you can save a small fortune.

We used Best Western Moat House Hotel this year. Paid just short of £100 for a weeks parking and a room for the night. Room was nice enough. The buffet Full English the next morning was probably the best I have ever had in a hotel too.
Just a shame that having got there at 10PM, we had to drive the car to a car park about 6 miles away, then get two express buses back to the hotel, which took over an hour...
£2.50 for a bus to the terminal next morning wasn't too bad either.
We used a smaller hotel off of one of the back roads in East Grinstead the year before, the name of which I have long since forgotten, again fine but my car was covered in leaves and branches when I got back and I had to get from there to Dorset and then on to a funeral within 3 hours so I didn't have time to go and complain...

Most of the off-site carparks I've used you park nose-to-tail with everyone else arriving at that time and they find somewhere to park it later, bringing it back to somewhere near the office on the day you return. Thus I'm not any more concerned about someone driving it from the terminal, especially when it's far more convenient.

If you really are bothered about that, then when I used "Parking Express Gatwick" (book via the BA site) you park yourself and keep the keys. But that can be a long trudge to the nearest courtesy bus stop and a wait to get to the terminal.
