I lied to her about the dogs in the Shropshire mansion blaze being safe and well. It was a spur of the moment thing because she loves pups and I was hoping the new story would go away.

Does that count as a 'little white lie' because tomorrow she is sure to find out, and I may get toasted.

I think if she sees the paper with the charred bodies of the horses enlarged, that won't help.

But why the hell would someone kill the horses, chickens and dogs? I mean, fair enough to kill the people, but what did the animals do? Points maybe more to a suicide on that basis?

I think it was on the cover of The Sun - their website may have it if you are that keen. But it was just charred horses in the burnt down stables. Not nice at all.
