Toys you always wanted, but never got
Discussion
When I was a kid I really wanted a Bigtrak, I remember asking for one for several Birthday's and Christmas's in a row, but for some reason I always missed out. Now that I'm all grown up I've occasionaly looked on ebay for one, you can get them, but so far I've resisted. I know it will be fun for about 2 minutes and then get chucked in the loft and forgoten about.
So what toys did you long for, but never recieve, what did your friends have that you were always envious of?

A TVR Speed 12! Haha. Now, in all seriousness, I always wanted this massive remote control Tomcat that was sat in Toys R Us. It was about 100 quid, but it was the coolest looking thing ever, especially when you had dreams of being in the RAF as a 7 year old (which have been dashed since I found out I was colour blind).
I bought this yesterday: http://www.meccano.com/products/special/product.ph...

Spent 4 hours building the model shown, now I have 14 left to build (took it apart again this morning, will start next one tomorrow)
Having great fun, and my 7 and 5 year old daughters now know what a spanner, allen key, bolt, nut, washer and gear are amongst others, along with the correct way to tighten and loosen bolts...

The car/missile effort was again a death knell for skirting boards and ankles.Edited by Red Firecracker on Friday 29th August 21:28
