Having screwed up GB for ten years, the first admittance is coming out

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7589291.stm

Feckwits the lot of them. As usual the Tories will be seen as the bad ones when they are voted in to fix the country yet a-bloody-gain.

I swear I am going to shoot Brown and Darling with an AK47 until they are dead. That is unless the UK Stazi(tm) get to me first for typing this. I'll let PH know...

It is the only thing they made that works... Unlike the system that Blair/Brown/Darling seem to be hell bent on.

BBC commenting on Alistair Darling said:
He said that voters were "pissed off" with Labour's handling of the economy, a key issue at the next election.
Understatement of the year award, nice use of sweary words though...

I have been in business (retail) nearly 40 years, and it is tougher now than it has ever been, and everybody I speak to, and all my suppliers say the same...

I only think it will start to get better, if and when a Conservative government get in, and the honeymoon period starts.........

Batten down the hatches, we are in for a bumpy ride..............smile

Its a quite a funny situation...(not humerous obviously) as I thought where im working would be hit quite badly (mobile phone retail) but people just keep comming in and spanking their money on phones, and taking relatively high tarriffs... perhaps it now a need not a want... But thought more people would be going from pay monthly to Pay as you go, but it seems more the opposite... hmmmmmmm

GB and his merry men, cocks!!!! worthless useless politicians who take NO responsibility for this mess, but take all responsibility when things go well, admitidly it is rare!!!

A Labour government ALWAYS ends in tears - for the electorate.

"Winkle stall" and "inability to run" springs to mind.

Collectively, they don't have the IQ of a sofa.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that the average age of voters is going up, older people tend to be more conservative, moving away from their more liberal youth. We will have less pension due to fking Scottish Labour Politicians who should have been shot at birth, but the country will improve due to older people being in power for longer. Just hope that Spanish Flu, and Labour Governments or the like stay away for a generation or two.

There will now not be a recession.

This is because Alastair Darlling has just put the final nail in Labia's rickety old coffin.

The City now knows it will be impossible for Clown's Gang to ever win the next election.

Confidence for 2010 has returned.

Thanks Alastair.

its pretty depressing. I was in CA earler this week and spoke with the CEO of a major successful global company, and the sense was that the wheels are really falling off the US economy, especially in the last three months, with no end in sight, and they are also very worried about China. We are in for a horrendous time. Worst in my life, I expect.

I really don't think that it is the worst recession for 60 years - yet.

Certainly, the economic problems of the mid 70s and early 80s were a lot worse than our present situation.

Of course, things may deteriorate further and then maybe his statement might have more validity.

Frankly, most economists being interviewed this morning are very surprised by what he has said and they can't understand what he was up to. Was he trying to discredit Brown? Or is he softening up the electorate for next week when parliamnet returns that the government is going to have to announce that it is planning on breaking its own borrowing rules?

It's obviously a political spin device and I await with interest what happens next.

Tax and Spend. Except, they spend it on s***e and tax the wrong people.

Stupid c**ks.

Oh, and they've already broken their borrowing "limits" (did it years ago, PFI deals may be off balance, but is just creative accounting by the self serving scum).
