Bit of a random one but are there any PHers who mark the ICAEW exam scripts, specifically the advanced stage?

Or does anyone know any such person?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Some of the tutors at the professional training firms mark them I think. Why?

I am re sitting an advanced exam for the second time and need some guidance on where I went wrong. The college are not offering a course due to the syllabus change but my technique is poor so I was hoping to get some feedback on a couple of scripts from a marker. I'm confident enough that I grasp the technical stuff but I'm just not picking up marks.

I will of course compensate anyone that can help!

I'm in the same boat mate - which one stung you this time?

I sat BE and BLC, for the 2nd time, passed BE and failed BLC (passed case first time).

Are FTC/BPP not offering courses any more?

It was BE that got me again.

Kaplan don't seem to be offering a course this time which means it'll be tricky to sort out my technique issues!

Suggest if you current training firm cannot help you look at using another. Some of the tutors are self employed and may well be happy to give you some one on one assistance if you are willing to pay.

Thanks. I think seeking out a self employed tutor may be the best bet.
