I think that's what the call them. Ever time I walk any distance I get a severe pain in my shins, I can't remember getting them in the past. Anybody know why I'm getting them?

I also get this, seems to be worse if I'm wearing harder shoe's rather that trainers.

yes

I changed to better quality workshoes when I had this problem, and it went away.

Has it only just started? Have you been running in the last few days when you normally never do?

Lack of stretching is what i was told. I used to get them after road running. Soon stopped after walking became painful.

I'd advise taking a rest from the running etc, and wear shoes with a really comfortable sole (trainers?) for a while.

worst thing is, they come back evry time i run on the road, but never when walking on the forest.

Lots of good advice here. I have suffered with shinsplints terribly and have to spend an age warming up and down and running in what to me, is an unnatural atyle. I avoid running on roads.

I suffered a lot when I re-started playing squash and started jogging but a change to a good quality pair of trainers helped a lot.

I've been getting it for a few years now. No running.
