Hi Guys

Random question but I have recently taken delivery of a hotpoint washer dryer, but its too tall to fit under the kitchen top and I can't return it.

It is about 30 cm too tall and looks like it is in 2 pieces with the machine on top and at the bottom, roughly 30cm, there is a draw that pulls out.
Nothing is in the draw and I have no idea why its there.

My question is this - can i saw the bottom draw section off so it will fit?:P

You're already wasting valuable time Swillsy.

You must act on instinct when this situation arises. Thinking about it won't get the problem sorted.

Get the saw out right now. Draw a rough wavy, smudgy line where you intend to cut and go at it with a cheap hacksaw and conviction.

Life is a gamble.

Right attitude but the wrong approach.

This job calls for a hammer, not a small one but a 14lb sledgehammer.

Beat it down, hit it again and again until it has cowered by the required amount.

Being as most under counter applicances are the same height (85 cm give or take a cm or two) how the fk can you buy one that is more than 50 percent out. I suspect you mean 30 mm, but if it's 30 cm out, then it wasn't made to go under a work top. Have you bought one of those big fk off launderette machines by mistake?
