Well, for a start, don't go up the M1. Stanstead is on the M11. Hows about anti clockwise around the M25 until you get to the M11?

You could use the North Circ. but it can be a pain during rush hour especially round where I live in the Bounds Green bottleneck.

No, I reckon M25, M11.

Fiendishly simple I know, but maybe, just maybe, it will work.

Don't spend too much on my present.

ETA: Ahh just noticed you live in Twickers...at that time of day I agree with the post above, N.Circ around to Walthamstow the up the M11.

Anti-clockwise? From Twickenham? Clockwise, Shirley.

I have done this a few times.
Anti-clockwise on the M25 is THE LONG WAY ROUND, don't do that.
It might be worth doing clockwise to the M11. Check the traffic reports and if the M25 is clear it is pretty fast to the M11.
You should probably leave 2 hours which means hopping onto the M25 at 6am when it should be fairly clear and it should only take 10 mins to get to the M25 from Twickenham.
In heavier traffic I have always found it quicker doing the North Circular and then M11, but at 6am the M25 might be worth the risk.

if you need to get there by 7:45am i'd be leaving twickers no later than 6:15am as the traffic density varies wildly IME smile
