Other than the usual 'get brown out' ideology which would be great (to which I am a card holder), What positive improvments do you think could be made, im talking realisitic....

Scrapping the NHS??? Reforming it?? if reforming it, how??? what would you do???

Car tax, how could it be improved?? what are the alternatives???

Environment, how could we come to a realistic compromise with the tree huggers?

Education, people say that exams etc have got easier which in turn makes the current govt look better as more people are going to uni, is that better, SHIRLEY that is taking people away from skilled trades....how could the balance be adjusted???

Social disorder, has it got worse, or has it just been highlighted more in the media. How could we sort out the 'chav-culture'?? would it be viable/feesable to bring back national service? could we reopen old army/RAF camps and use them to split gangs up and make them do some national bird???

Prisons, build more/send less people to prisons??? any thoughts???

economy??? less intervention from politicions, and more from proper economists??? or the other way around!!!

Immigration, should we be tougher, more leanient to the woes of some of these people who are seeking genuine asylum. is it our responsibility... Should there be a compulsary working for immigrants if there already is not. Anyone who spreads reacial or religeous hatred, should they be chucked out regardless of there country they are going back to, even if they are in danger back there.

EU, what do we make of that??? should we be more involved in it, should we sign up to the Euro? do we need it, do we want it?? should we have our politics detated by people who dont even live in this country???

What are your views, this is a good ranting thread, be honest, but balanced...

Get rid of non-jobs. Benefits only to those who most deserve them.

Stop all the PC hand-wringing must-not-offend-anyone nonsense.

Turn the entire Isle of white into a penal colony.

Abolish all tax on beer.

Introduce overtaking as a mandatory part of the driving test.

£10,000 fine for not being arsed to use your indicators.

No way. Scrap all DIRECT taxation (which is theft) and only have indirect taxation (which involves personal choice)

Taxes can be massively lowered by doing away with the entire state-operated social, welfare, educational and health systems.

Scrap the current income tax, NI and tax credit system.

Get rid of the several hundred (thousand?) civil servants that administer them.

Introduce a flat rate income tax that applies on each and every pound you earn. That way there is always incentive to work harder and earn more, there is no 'benefit trap' where people are discuraged from working harder and the system is roughly 1,000,000 times easier to understand and administer.

Aren't you the tw4t who disapproved of an art exhibition because it included drawings of naked women? You're first against the wall!

Oh and can we have a voting system similar to the French one where every vote counts in a single electoral college where seats are then allocated in line with proportion of votes.

Our system of electing a local MP means most people in safe seats have little incentive to vote and so our politicians put all their effort into chasing minorities in marginal seats and ignore the vast majority of the publics wishes.

Get rid of middle managers across the board and many layers of government, and decide whether we are in or out of the EU once and for all.

More money for people actually doing stuff such as police / nurses / firemen / cleaners in hospitals etc.

Start actually manufacturing stuff again.

Sort out the education system so we don't expect everyone to go to uni and let people that want to leave and get into a trade. Oh and give schools / teachers back their spine.

Shoot most "career" politicians

Serious punishments for serious crimes and antisocial crimes.

Remove dependancies on importing where possible.

Get Nuclear power for almost all our energy needs now, and not the st old designs either.

That would do for a start.

Voting? Are you mad?
80% of the population are incapable of voting with any skill or knowledge. A one-party, capitalist state will be just fine, thank you smile

You could probably round up about 20 million of the population who serve absolutley no purpose other than to sponge, commit crime and drag the country down. Once rounded up you could shoot the lot of them. Over crowding sorted, country a better place, benefit bill reduced. Job done. Me for PM I think!

Ducks whilst waiting for the abuse to start!!!

I live in a Labour area of London. I want my vote for the Tory party to count. The electorate returned a majority in favour of a Tory Government again in the last election.....and we got a Labour Government again.

The fact that the Tory party need a far larger % of the vote to win a general election is ridiculous and immoral IMO.
