Politics aside, just what does the Chancellor of the Exchequer think is going to happen? A takeover bid for the UK from China, Saudi-Arabia and Switzerland? Or does he think that we are under siege from the Nazis?

I sort of meant 'we the masses'....personally I'm pretty happy with recession - next car getting cheaper every day and wife about to return to decent paid job.

Was he wearing a pair of pants on his head, with two penils stuffed up his nose when he said that?

I don't, to believe in anything this government peddles you either need to be delusional or off your head on something.

Or just greedy and cynical. Blair got two very nice mansions and a property portfolio out of it, and most of them are tucking away £200k in salary and expenses a year. I'd quite happily spout a manifesto for a socialist utopia if you gave me £250k a year and a free house in return.

Well it looks like Gorgeous George's party are going to drop him over in Bowistan so why not trot out that Manifesto and get on the gravy train. You won't have to commute far and yet they'll pay for a new flat in westminster and the furniture to go in it.
Go for it.

Its being dropped as an allowance I'm sorry. To admit it gets cold is to deny the fact of MMGW. They are replacing it with Brazilian chicas allowance however, previously restricted to chicos only.

Hazel Bleary Deary announced new measures on 5 Live this morning.
She mentioned that to do this Labour are spending money that was earmarked for spending in 2 or 3 years' time.
When she knows full well they'll no longer be in power....

Something to blame the Tories for I guess. fkers...

the man's an idiot and shooting off his fat mouth was what precipitated sterling's collapse.

Yes but there hoping that saying it's not quite so bad at all in a few weeks time will mean that there next idiotic measures can be claimed to have solved the problem that they exagerrated in the first place.

Classic under promise over deliver tactics.
