.. So the days of the cuffing a scrote around the back of the head are well and truly gone.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/northamptonshir...

No idea of the story spin a la BBC, but these three don't seem a particularly pleasant bunch. A career is 'door security' seems to be the way forward.

I'm also glad that these criminals are out of a job. They should be facing some jail time as well.

It appears it was a bit more than a cuff round the head.

Okay, it was harsh but the article makes it look like the 'youth' wasn't in a stolen car and hadn't committed any crime.

He was 16! Ah, but then it didn't say whether he was driving or not, hmmm.

The scrote was on the run, obviously still up to no good - bless his cotton socks that he's been "scared" by these coppers.

They don't look a pretty bunch by any means but christ they must get fed up of these thugs getting away with everything.

I'm just amazed that these guys actually got punished.

Seems a lot worse goes on these days and people get away with it.

Exactly

Personally, i think that this is what these type of kids need. I am sure people will disagree.

Next they will be having to fill in risk asessments prior to chasing anyone and having to politely ask them to stop running away

well i do

i think they do a pretty thankless job. under-resourced. seeing the people they catch let off time after time with a slap on the wrist.

hand on heart - it's not something i could do - certainly not in this namby-pamby-PC correct-bksed-age. i am, however, very glad that there are other who can and do do the job.

"the boy, who had breached bail"

So they were giving a local scrote, the sort who probably smashes your wing mirrors off for a laugh or tags your bonnet with a key, a hard time. Give them a bonus. Mind you, working the door in a local nightclub, they will probably meet and beat him again in a couple of years time and accidentally lose the CCTV footage, plus get a better salary out of it.

Come on Vesuvius. There's a whole article to comment on an interesting case and outcome. This is what catches your eye?

What exactly is causing you to roll your eyes? It's a female? It's an ethnic? or combination of both?

I expected something more insightful and amusing from you

That kid sounds like a right peasant, skipping bail and legging it from a stolen car (was he driving? I bet he was!) I hope he got a good shoeing. Shame the policemen got sacked. Need more stuff like that quite frankly.
