Any of the hotels would be fine to stop off for a coffee. Might be a bit tight with parking unless you stop off in short stay or something

Why not do what the limo/taxi drivers do and go to McDonald's? There are two on the A4/Bath Road.

As you approach Terminal 4 from the M25, there's a petrol station on your right, but you're on a dual carriageway so have to drive past it a fair old way to the next roundabout, then back again. No problem, really.

You'll get coffee, hot pies, etc and a bog, but the parking spaces are always occupied by taxis so you might have to wait a while.

You get a grandstand view of aircraft taking off from there, and getting back to T4 is just a short hop to the roundabout and back again.

If you tell your pals to walk from arrivals to departures, you can pick them up at the dropoff area without having to pay ripoff car park charges.

Jock's Cafe on the Colnbrook by-pass (A4).

Must be good, 'cause the blokes involved in a cash heist at LHR met there for a divvy-up.

the best/nearest place would the wild bean cafe at the BP station on the a30, right next to t4. But beware those upmarket cabbies, driving the s-classes or audi a8's usually hogg the spaces and theres only a few of them.
