Did anyone see the pictires in THEe SUN today, page 27?
Someone was tring to stab someone with a screwdriver.
Other people were running around brandishing bats, spades and clubs.
And someone was throwing a WELLINGTON BOOT at someone.
That's just nasty. It could have taken the guys head clean off!

That reminds me of a headline in my local paper complete with photo of the local cheif inspector proudly posing with their weapons haul from raids on local addresses. The weapons haul consisted of a few kitchen knives (presumably found concealed in a kitchen draw), a couple of baseball bats, a cricket bat, a golf club and (rather incongruously) a pair of boxing gloves! I slept easier at night after seeing that biggrin

WELLINGTON BOOT
It's a curious weapon, isn't it, the wellington boot.

One end is quite hard, the other quite floppy.

Having a wellington boot throw at oneself if somewhat like playing Russian roulette.

With luck, the floppy part will merely graze your arm, and the boot will land harmlessly, over there.

Two chaps with a pair of wellies between them have no excuse for boredom.
